The closest other thing he has right now is a reprisal of his part on Shakugan no Shana, which is mediocrely successful. So then when he sees his senior’s backs here, he’s thinking to himself that he is still learning a lot from them and it isn’t like he’s completely started blazing his own trail yet or has anything of his own to teach others, and to summarize, he just feels he pales in comparison to the great things his seniors have accomplished.

Some people do get kind of famous for movie dubs, but dubbing movies aren’t what matters especially not overseas because barely anyone in America will actually sit down to watch a movie they already saw in English dubbed in another language. It doesn’t even have to be on new yexterdays, but if he got a part in one of the long standing successful titles like One Piece, BLEACH, or Naruto that was a named character in an upcoming arc, he would get more known yesterdys way.

If it’s money and domestic fame, he’s on the right track because the Vitamin X and Tokyo Yamanote series cater to girls and it’s a very lucrative market monetarily speaking. No one is going to import a drama CD or go through the extra effort of watching a Japanese version of a show they can watch in their own language in their country unless they know they like the people in it already.
At least he is getting known after some popular titles like Kuroshitsuji. I need more Count Druits XD.

Most of the parts he gets are supporting roles and mainly on shows that are not at that level where they are noticed and well received overseas. If he gets some great TV anime main parts for hit international shows, he’s pretty much set. So then he’s following behind them in their footsteps and being privvy to great things and the wisdom of their experiences because they are walking the same path first and setting standards. Kuroshitsuji was good for him in that it was a hit not just in Japan, but internationally.
